A New Standard
for Vegans and Vegetarians
MORE THAN A MULTIVITAMIN
Multivitamins are usually presented as a complete supplement, yet lack beneficial nutrients that don't fit into their low-cost or one-a-day approaches.
They don't truly complete diets, and despite some having vegetables printed on the packaging, cannot replace whole foods.
COMPLETING, NOT REPLACING
supplementV provides high-quality nutrients in order to complete healthy plant-based diets, not replace them.
Our formulation contains selected nutrients to be consumed alongside plant-based foods—for an ideal diet, with no compromises.
RESEARCH-BASED NUTRIENTS
Our provided nutrients, forms and dosages are all carefully selected based on recent studies and research recommendations for plant‑based diets.
Each nutrient in the formulation is included to complete your diet, and provide you with health and fitness benefits.
supplementV is designed to provide you all of the health and fitness benefits of a truly nutritionally‑completed diet.
We Are What We Eat
What we eat matters. It reflects us, our background, and our health.
HIGH-QUALITY FOOD
We believe in a lifestyle that strives for diverse, fresh and nutrient-rich foods.
In practice, this varies between different vegans and vegetarians who have different preferences, and backgrounds.
The goal is to eat foods that are right for you—while striving for quality.
MORE THAN B12
Why supplement a healthy plant‑based diet?
Although most vegans and vegetarians thankfully know to supplement Vitamin B12, many studies show they still have significantly less of multiple beneficial nutrients that are either impossible or difficult to adequately consume in a plant‑based diet.
A NEW STANDARD
Eating plant-based ourselves, we wanted a complete, high-quality and research-based supplement—standards multivitamins do not fulfil.
supplementV is the most advanced daily supplement for vegans and vegetarians who want to gain all of the benefits of a truly nutritionally-complete diet, now and in the future.

Our Quality Standard
From sourcing the highest-quality vegan ingredients, to GMP‑certified manufacturing in New Zealand—we work to provide the highest standard in every part of supplementV.
Every daily micronutrient in sV Complete.
VITAMIN B12
An essential nutrient for body function which a deficiency of can cause severe health outcomes. With all significant dietary sources being from animal products, relying on dietary intake of certain fortified foods can be unreliable and is inadvisable. Regular supplementation is crucial, and thankfully widely recommended.
We provide a balanced dosage of Methylcobalamin—the widely used active form of B12.
CDP-CHOLINE
Choline is an essential vitamin-like nutrient necessary for body function and brain health. While the body can synthesise small amounts, and Choline is present in plant-based foods, the most significant sources are from animal products—and vegans and vegetarians are known to consume less than the recommended adequate intake.
We provide a dietary-supportive dosage of CDP-Choline, a superior form, for health benefits.
ALGAE OMEGA-3
Omega-3 are essential fatty acids crucial for brain and heart health. ALA is the only type of Omega-3 found in plants, yet is required to be converted by the body into DHA and EPA, and is known to have poor conversion. Direct supplementation of both is ideal for supporting plant-based diets, and offers various health benefits.
We provide a moderate dosage of algae Omega-3, in the better-absorbed triglyceride form, for health benefits.
CREATINE MONOHYDRATE
An important nutrient for energy production. Similarly to Choline, the body can synthesise small amounts of Creatine, but as it is found mostly in meat, vegans and vegetarians consume very little to no dietary amounts. Creatine intake has been linked to many health benefits, including in fitness and cognition.
We provide a dietary-supportive dosage of Creatine Monohydrate, the most studied form, for health and fitness benefits.
VITAMIN D3
An essential nutrient with a wide range of health benefits. The body can synthesise Vitamin D3 out of UVB sunlight exposure on the skin, however this has both geographical and health limitations. With the only significant dietary sources of Vitamin D being fish, direct supplementation is particularly beneficial for vegans and vegetarians.
We provide a balanced dosage of algae-derived Vitamin D3, for health benefits.
IODINE
An essential nutrient for thyroid hormone health. Dietary sources include animal products and seaweed, being either unavailable or unreliable for plant-based diets. Direct supplementation is very beneficial for guaranteeing proper intake of this essential nutrient for vegans and vegetarians.
We provide a balanced dosage of Iodine, in the reliable form of Potassium Iodide, to support healthy levels.
ZINC
Zinc is an essential nutrient for body function, including brain health, and the immune system. Despite Zinc's presence in plant-based foods, its bioavailability in them is considerably lower compared to Zinc from animal products. Researches suggested dietary Zinc requirements for vegans and vegetarians may be up to 50% higher than the recommended intake for the general population.
We provide a dietary-supportive dosage of Zinc Bisglycinate Chelate, the best absorbed form, to support healthy levels.
SELENIUM
An essential nutrient for body health, with antioxidant capabilities. Vegans and vegetarians usually consume less Selenium, due to a limited amount of significant plant-based sources, and Selenium deficiencies are not uncommon. Direct supplementation is ideal to alleviate lacking dietary intake and to support healthy levels of this crucial nutrient.
We provide a dietary-supportive dosage of Selenium, to support healthy levels.
PREFORMED VITAMIN A
Vitamin A is an essential nutrient crucial for body health, including eye health and immunity function. Plant-based diets completely lack Vitamin A, yet contain carotenoids, some of which the body can convert into Vitamin A—beta-carotene being the most common. Despite this, carotenoid conversion into Vitamin A can vary drastically between individuals, with one research estimating up to 45% of people having less effective conversion.
We provide a small dietary-supportive dosage of Preformed Vitamin A, to support healthy levels.
TAURINE
An important nutrient involved with a vast amount of physiological functions, including brain and heart function. Barely present in vegan and vegetarian diets outside of certain algae, the body is able to synthesise Taurine out of other dietary proteins. Despite this, past research found vegans to have lower blood levels of Taurine. Direct supplementation supports the lacking dietary intake.
We provide a balanced, dietary-supportive dosage for health benefits.
VITAMIN K2
Vitamin K is an essential nutrient, with importance for bone and cardiovascular health. With 2 natural forms, K1 is present in plant-based foods, while K2 is only found in animal products, usually in the MK-4 subform. One exception is Nattō—a vegan, fermented soybean food, containing K2 in the MK-7 subform. While the body can convert some K1 to K2, amounts vary between individuals due to genetic differences.
We provide a balanced dosage of Vitamin K2, all-trans MK-7, for health benefits.
B-COMPLEX VITAMINS
B Vitamins are a group of eight essential nutrients for body function. Apart from Vitamin B12 which we already covered, the other seven B-Vitamins are present in plant-based diets. That being said, insufficient dietary intake can still occur among vegans and vegetarians when consuming less of certain foods.
We include a small, dietary-supportive dosage of seven B-Vitamins, to support healthy levels.
Intentionally excluded micronutrients.
IRON
Iron is excluded as its supplementation requirements greatly differ between individuals, with excessive amounts being dangerous. We recommend you to talk to your healthcare provider and get tested before deciding whether to supplement Iron.
If you do supplement Iron, we recommend taking it at a different time than supplementV, and possibly with Vitamin C, for optimal absorption.
How Alternatives Compare
We worked to create the most advanced supplement for vegans and vegetarians because our standard did not already exist. Let's break this down.
Nutrients Selected
The most evident problem with alternative multi‑supplements is their nutrient selections. This can be seen in:
- Missing beneficial nutrients. Many of the nutrients provided by supplementV are not found in alternatives—despite their health benefits. This is usually due to cost saving measures, volume constraints for one-a-day pills, or lack of knowledge—all of which result in a less beneficial supplement.
- Including (or upselling) nutrients that are counterproductive. This can be problematic with nutrients such as Calcium due to its interference with the absorption of Zinc, among other nutrients. It's possibly even more problematic with how often some nutrients are supplemented in overly-high doses. We also don't believe in universal supplementation of Iron for all vegans and vegetarians, which is commonplace.
supplementV provides a complete collection of beneficial nutrients specifically selected for completing healthy, plant-based diets—with no compromises.
Forms and Quality
Many alternative multi-supplements cut corners when it comes to nutrient forms and quality. Differences between forms vary—in some cases, the differences are important but smaller: Vitamin D in the form of D3 is more bioavailable and stable than D2, and identical to what your body produces when exposed to sunlight, but more expensive when vegan-sourced. In other cases, form differences are very significant, especially in some individuals due to genetics.
Examples include:
- Oxidised Omega-3 Oil. Supplement quality varies drastically, and especially so with the most sensitive ingredients. Omega-3 is very prone to oxidation, which reduces its overall effectiveness as well as increases its "fishiness".
After a lot of research and months of comparing global suppliers, we found drastic quality differences between them. supplementV contains microencapsulated Omega-3 with oxidation measures much lower than the GOED industry standards, maintaining a very low TOTOX value even over time. Our Omega-3 is also in triglyceride form, known to have superior absorption. - Inferior Choline Forms. Forms such as Choline Bitartrate are significantly cheaper, and are common in alternative multi-supplements (if they contain Choline at all). However, they are controversial due to forming potentially damaging compounds in the body, and have overall fewer health benefits. We provide CDP-Choline, a superior form, also known to offer potential cognitive benefits.
- Unreliable kelp-sourced Iodine. Iodine supplementation from kelp is known to be dangerously inconsistent. We provide Iodine in the reliable form of Potassium Iodide, to guarantee our dosage is precise and does not reach unsafe limits.
- Carotenoids instead of Vitamin A. Carotenoids such as beta-carotene are common in plant-based diets, and are converted by the body into Vitamin A, being the sole plant-based source of it as preformed Vitamin A is not present in plant-based foods. However, the body's ability to convert carotenoids into Vitamin A differs greatly between individuals, with one study claiming up to 45% of the population being low responders. We provide a small dietary-supportive dosage of preformed Vitamin A, which is particularly useful for those individuals.
- Zinc forms with lesser absorption. Similarly to other supplemented nutrients, Zinc is available in multiple forms that vary in effectiveness. We provide Zinc Bisglycinate Chelate, a form of Zinc found to have the best absorption by multiple studies.
We always work to provide the most effective and beneficial form of every nutrient.
Dosages
Alternative multi-supplements can have wildly different dosages of different nutrients, regardless of reference RDIs (Recommended Dietary Intake; RDA in the US) or AIs (Adequate Intake, when RDI/RDA is not set), and they present multiple issues:
- Ineffective dosages of certain nutrients. Even when alternative multi-supplements do contain a wider range of nutrients, their dosages are often ineffectively low, and sometimes also hidden behind proprietary blends. Usually done as a cost saving measure, and with proprietary blends due to a lack of confidence in the formula's effectiveness—this creates an illusion of a complete supplement, with a long (yet partially ineffective) list of nutrients.
- Dangerously or unnecessarily high dosages of certain nutrients are commonplace in daily multi-supplements, in and outside of the US. Often surpassing set ULs (Tolerable Upper Intake Levels), long-term high-dose supplementation could have unexpected outcomes, as this one 2017 study suggests. We also found several reviews reporting negative health outcomes due to nutrient excess in multiple Amazon listings of alternative multi-supplements from known brands.
supplementV includes thought-through dosages per micronutrient, in order to support and complete plant-based diets both effectively and safely.
The Bigger Picture
There are a lot of differences between supplements, even beyond what we already covered.
Our work to create the most advanced supplement for vegans and vegetarians also includes specialty nutrient forms for enhanced stability over time; selective ingredient potency for a more comfortable serving size; special care across the supply chain for temperature protection; and mindful packaging, among other details.
But beyond that, it means putting careful attention into every detail—so we can provide the ideal way to complete your plant-based diet, and support your health and fitness.
Highlighted FAQs
Why should I supplement my plant-based diet?
Vitamin B12 is the most commonly known nutrient missing in plant-based diets, and rightly so with a deficiency causing severe health outcomes.
However, it is not the only nutrient missing or difficult to adequately get in plant-based diets, and supplementing those missing nutrients offers many health and fitness benefits—as we break down in our Ingredients section.
We see supplementation—as well as plant-based diets as a whole—as a modern-day privilege. Having all of the benefits of a truly nutritionally-complete diet, without depending on any animal products, is what we believe in.
If I take supplements, should I not worry about what I eat?
We don't believe you should ever worry about what you eat, and instead enjoy mindfully choosing the foods that are right for you.
That being said, supplementation can never replace a balanced diet, despite some some marketing claims. Moreover, we don't believe "greens" should be supplemented, nor that apple powder can replace a fresh apple, etc.
If you want to learn more about this topic, we recommend this article from Examine.
Our recommendation is that alongside taking supplementV daily, you strive to choose varied foods that are both nutritious and enjoyable for you. This doesn't mean every food you eat has to also be nutritious—it is the long-term trend that matters.
How do I take supplementV?
Take 2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening, daily.
If preferred, take 4 capsules at once, daily.
Supplemented nutrients are generally better absorbed alongside food, and are meant to be a part of your diet. Certain nutrients (such as Vitamin D) are significantly better absorbed when taken alongside a fat-containing meal.
Can I buy a one-month supply of supplementV?
Yes—although supplementV is designed for daily use and is therefore offered as a subscription, you can subscribe and after the first month is billed & shipped, pause or cancel your subscription through your account or by contacting us.
Do you offer returns?
We don't believe in customers paying for a product and not getting what they wanted.
If you are unsatisfied with supplementV for any reason—you can contact us either for support or a refund. We would also appreciate any feedback if you want to share.
We can issue a refund of your first unit ordered, however not of any shipping or potential importing costs.
Where do you ship to, and what are the shipping costs?
We will publish detailed shipping information on launch, with the help of our shipping partners Stord & Passport.
